About Me

Hey! Thanks for visiting. You’ll find all kinds of treasures on my site. Recipes that will inspire you to try them out, household tips, pet advice, life hacks, parenting advice, crafts, and the music that has been moving me.

So, a little about me… I was born and raised in the Midwest. I accomplished two degrees in computer science. As a child, I wanted to be a lawyer or a judge but it wasn’t until my twenties that I decided to become a software engineer. My career started off in military vehicle and weapons simulation and I am currently working for state government. I’m into tech and I love being the first to learn about it. In my perfect world, my home would be automated and tech would be at my beck and call to make life easier. Unfortunately, I don’t make millions but a girl can dream.

When I was a teen, I wanted to have 12 children… or more! Real life brought that delirious idea crashing back to reality. I have one stellar teen son, Brad.  We’ve had our ups and downs in life, like any other family, but we keep on motivating each other to excel. He’s embarked on his high school career and I’m just trying to keep up.

I’ve recently married the most amazing man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My son and I were a team of two for so long that I started giving up on finding the right man.

Just ignore me while I gush once in a while on here how he is such a wonderful husband and role model for my son.

I’ve heard that what you do when you are procrastinating is what you should be doing for a living… I don’t think I am a good enough cook for that!  I do have a lot of fun baking and trying out new recipes. Every shopping trip there is something in the cart for a new recipe I planned for the week. Sometimes my family loves it and sometimes not so much. I’ll share the best here with you.

Whimsical. I decided on that name because I wanted to capture the eclectic nature of my interests. You’ll see various posts on here from a myriad of topics. Follow along on this journey!
